Soft and Sweet Baby Shower....

This past weekend, family and friends (along with myself) gave a baby shower at my home. Lyn'D is the most girly girl you'll ever meet, so the theme matched her personality perfectly. We've been waiting for this baby for a long time, so we wanted to give her a shower she'd never forget.

We so much fun choosing the linens, flowers, etc., and Phyliss did an awesome job on all of the food (check out the cake!). There are too many pics to choose from so I decided to post a bunch!

The Mamaritas were a hit!

I found sparkling pink lemonade at World Market and it tastes great.

A Budget Friendly Find......

These are some candlesticks I found on the clearance aisle at one of my favorite stores, HomeGoods. Neither had pairs and both were missing many of their crystals. So for $5.00, I bought both and took crystals from one and added them to the other.

After a coat of black spray paint, I think it matched my girly-glam theme perfectly!

Hot Pink and Black Lingerie Shower......

These are pics from my friend Angie's lingerie shower I hosted on Saturday night. I've been preparing for this shower for a long time, and I'm really pleased with the end result. I love to see lots of pics from real parties, so I'm going to post a bunch. Many thanks to the photographer~~~my very talented mom!

Very artsy pic of the sparkling crystals hanging over my kitchen island.

Another not so artsy pic of the "chandelier" I made with the left over crystals from my $6.00 clearance find at Home Goods!

I hope this post will help inspire others in planning just as I have been inspired by all of my blog friends!

Thanks for all of your inspiration,

Ingrid

What I did Today....Remembering My Dad on Father's Day

My dad was the most talented, creative person I've ever known, or will ever know. Today, I made these votives, thinking of him often. I like to think I inherited some of his artistic talent. He was a perfectionist, but I think he would like these (after pointing out any flaws, of course!). I sure wish he was here to critique these! I miss you and love you Dad!
These were easy to make, just time consuming~but I enjoyed it so much. I love this kind of stuff!
