A Budget Friendly Find......

These are some candlesticks I found on the clearance aisle at one of my favorite stores, HomeGoods. Neither had pairs and both were missing many of their crystals. So for $5.00, I bought both and took crystals from one and added them to the other.

After a coat of black spray paint, I think it matched my girly-glam theme perfectly!

Hot Pink and Black Lingerie Shower......

These are pics from my friend Angie's lingerie shower I hosted on Saturday night. I've been preparing for this shower for a long time, and I'm really pleased with the end result. I love to see lots of pics from real parties, so I'm going to post a bunch. Many thanks to the photographer~~~my very talented mom!

No caption necessary!

Votive holders that I made using ribbon, scrapbook paper and rhinestones

Very artsy pic of the sparkling crystals hanging over my kitchen island.

Another not so artsy pic of the "chandelier" I made with the left over crystals from my $6.00 clearance find at Home Goods!

Tower of treats for dipping in the chocolate fountain

Pink and black panties hanging from the black boa "clothesline"

Yummy chocolate and vanilla cupcakes by Velvet's Flour Garden. To visit Velvet's website, just click the link above.

I hope this post will help inspire others in planning just as I have been inspired by all of my blog friends!

Thanks for all of your inspiration,

Ingrid

What I did Today....Remembering My Dad on Father's Day

My dad was the most talented, creative person I've ever known, or will ever know. Today, I made these votives, thinking of him often. I like to think I inherited some of his artistic talent. He was a perfectionist, but I think he would like these (after pointing out any flaws, of course!). I sure wish he was here to critique these! I miss you and love you Dad!
These were easy to make, just time consuming~but I enjoyed it so much. I love this kind of stuff!

Let Them Eat Cup Cakes

I'm loving these cupcake wrappers. They are so pretty. I think it's a pretty detail and will look great on the cupcake tower. I found these at http://shopbakersnook.com/

Because we have a small guest list, this is something that won't break the bank at about $1.00 each. I think they'll really stand out against the hot pink and white icing.

New Lingerie Shower Ideas.....

This is some inspiration I found on Celebrations At Home---love, love, love this blog. She is so talented!

The top picture is the food table, I plan on using black and pink instead of brown. I love the centerpiece also! Looks pretty easy to make. We'll see if I can make it look this good!

The Printed Invite

Well, this is the printed invitation. I think it turned out really cute. Including the grooms name in the invitation was something I thought the bride would really like. This is how it goes:

Something Sexy, Something Sweet,

Something Special to knock Sean off his feet!

Now I have to think of a cute way to include her bra size and dress size to the invite. Then all I have to do is print them and drop them in the mail. Can't wait for the party!!

Invitations Have Arrived

The shower invitations have finally arrived. Can't wait to get them out. I ordered them from

https://www.dorianns.com/

They were a lot cheaper and I could order them in packs of 10 instead of packs of 20. Can't wait to print them to see how they look.

A Sexy Soiree......

I just love to plan parties and what's a better reason than to shower a bride! Myself and a few friends are throwing the bride, Angie , a lingerie shower (you're welcome, Sean)at my house. I decided to make it a really girly party. Just think....diamonds, pearls, satin and feathers, oh, and pink panty droppers of course!

I saw the pink bra invitations and knew they were perfect for the theme. For the centerpieces, I'll be using floating candles in glass cylindars surrounded by black feather boas---very boudoir. The linens will be hot pink satin showered in "diamonds". I can't wait to post the actual pics from the party!

It should be lots of fun with good friends, good eats, and good drinks!

This is an inspiration board I created for the shower!
