My First Pineapple Palm Tree & More Wedding Pics....

I saw this on the internet and the bride fell in love with it. I was so nervous when she asked me to do this for her, but I think it turned out pretty well. Everyone at party commented on it. So let me know what you guys think~Ingrid

The following food displays were done by the caterer, but I just wanted to show them because I think they turned out really well.

It's hard to see but the rolls were cascading out of a black treasure chest which went great with the beach theme.

A fun footnote: the rolls were specially ordered from Golden Corral because the bride is crazy about their bread!

Beach Theme Wedding Reception.......

Here are a few images from a wedding reception I helped with in August.

These are some pre-party pics and I will be posting more soon, so stay tuned!

Overflow table placed in back bar area

The seashell cake by Velvet's Flour Garden in Wellington, Florida. It was just beautiful-the shells were hand crafted out of fondant and it was a centerpiece to the party.
The flavor was coconut rum and everyone loved it!
Velvet is so sweet and talented, we just love her!

Little Details......

This is one of the signs I made for the reserved tables at the reception. Because the couple was married in Antigua, I thought this was perfect for the beach themed reception. Something a little unexpected and the bride really loved it. I found the paper in the scrapbook aisle at Michaels for $.59 a sheet......can't beat that!

These are the table top tiki torches that the bride ordered from Oriental Trading. I decided to dress them up a bit and give them some color by using ribbon, shells, starfish and sand dollars....all sixteen of them! In order to keep the fire hazard to a minimum, I used a can opener to cut off the top, filled the canisters with water and used a floating candle for the flame. They really turned out cute and were definitely budget friendly.

Stay tuned......many more photos to come!

Message in a Bottle....

These are the invitations the bride chose for the beach reception. I think they are fun & really cute. She even soaked the corks in tropical scented oil (we think it smells like Hawaiian Tropic Suntan Oil). All they need are address labels and stamps. I think they'd also be perfect as favors at any luau or pirate themed birthday party.

These are the stamps the bride ordered for the invitations. Check out Zazzle to see the endless possibilities in stamp design----who would have thought???

I think these invites will give the guests a glimpse of what's in store for the big day!
